On April 21, 2024, the 36th general meeting of the Samukawa Town Lord Kajiwara Honoring Society held a performance of the Heikyoku “Nidonokake”. Thank you very much to the members of the Samukawa Town Lord Kajiwara Awarding Association.

All of us recite the name of Kajiwara Kagesutoki – Nidonokake is in the process of being read out loud.

In the second part of the meeting, Ms. Tamamo Izumi, a member of the Samukawa Lord Kajiwara Memorial Association, read from “Ebira no Ume – The Story of Kajiwara no Kagesue and Uguisu” by Ms. Motoko Krosaki, a creative historical writer. This story is written and illustrated by Ms. Krosaki and is beautiful and sad…. I was so sad…. I hope you will have a chance to pick up a copy of the book if you have a chance. The reading was done by Ms. Izumi, an all-rounder who handled all aspects of the event, including the management, the progress, and the reading. Thanks to her, we were able to smoothly prepare for the event at our first location. Thank you very much. During the general meeting, there was a talk about connecting the dots to form a line, and as I listened to it, I realized that some dots spontaneously arise and form a line, while other dots are powerful enough to connect the line themselves, and that I was able to participate in this event because of that. I also wanted to protect those who are the dots.

Nidonokake (Heikyoku)
We started with a story about the lack of Ebira no Ume in Heikyoku, and then we asked the audience to join us in voicing the name of Kajiwara Kagesutoki, and finally we asked the audience to join us in the actual narration of the story. It was my first time to try this, but I was happy to see everyone raising their voices to the name of Kajiwara Kagesatoki. While everyone was smiling, I had a lot of work to do! Aaahhh~! I will keep my eyes on the future and continue to learn. Thank you very much to the members of the Samukawa Town Lord Kajiwara Commendation Society. I apologize for not being able to speak with you properly. I hope to see you again in the not-too-distant future.
