Synopsis of the performance
The Tale of the Heike, Vol. 7 “Chikubusubushimamoude”

About the Support Program
The Tale of the Heike Heike Listened to by Heike Biwa is a group where you can listen to The Tale of the Heike Biwa to the accompaniment of the Heike biwa while you sleep (while lying down). You may feel drowsy due to the difficult words and sounds, but you are welcome to fall asleep as you are. In keeping with the theme of the 8th exhibition, “Wildflowers: Living Here and Now,” the program will be a Chikubushimamoude of the 7th volume of the Tale of the Heike. The venue is Aioi-cho, Naka-ku, Yokohama, a quiet studio where yoga and other activities are held in small groups. There will be no stage set other than the sound of the Heike biwa and the narrator’s voice. A short explanation will be given, so you don’t need to know the story. It is a concert where you can assemble the scenery of the story with your own senses as you listen. In this age when everything is changing at a dizzying pace, close your eyes for a moment and sharpen your senses. Turn your eyes to the light within you. I hope you can freely imagine the flowers and plants of Chikubushima.
