KamakuraKomachian is a 5-minute walk from the West Exit of Kamakura Station on the JR Yokosuka Line. It is a single-story house located an 8-minute walk down Komachi-dori. As a “place” to connect hermitages, we support lifelong learning, community, and study circle activities.

As a student of heikyoku (the tale of the Heike, told with the accompaniment of the heike biwa), I had hoped to one day visit Kamakura… with the Heike Monogatari. It was last fall that I visited there with my heart pounding with Raiden on my back. Thanks to the owner, we will be holding a reading class this spring. It will be a small class with a capacity of 6 people each time, so we plan to read and make sounds while moving from one room to the other on either side of the room. One-time participation is OK & one-person participation is welcome. Please feel free to register.
The reading class on Friday, April 26 will be in NasunoYoichi.
